Guinevere’s Story
I have been a dental assistant for more than 25 years. I currently work chairside and as the office manager. Both are very rewarding to me!
Being DANB certified has given me both confidence and respect. I am part of a large group of people who take pride in their profession, not only on a personal level but on a national level. My employer always credits me for my accomplishments not only to myself, but to our patients. That gives me a true feeling of worth within my workplace.
Patients see my credentials displayed in the office and that ensures trust and confidence they have in me. This also gives me a strong sense of pride.

Douglas’ Story
I have held DANB’s CDA certification for more than 15 years. DANB certification is a way to show my colleagues my commitment to excellence and professionalism that our profession deserves.
Dental assisting has provided me with a variety of great experiences over the course of my career. The most rewarding aspect of my job would be making patients smile by restoring their confidence and boosting their self-esteem. There is no bigger compliment than to see the smile on my patient’s face after their dental needs have been met and completed. Secondary to that, I truly find gratification in the ability to lead and mentor my colleagues to become the best they can be.
